Terms of Service

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This is a draft terms template for Medha EduCore. Replace the bracketed placeholders with your legal entity's details, pricing/billing specifics, and governing law, and have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel before relying on it as a binding agreement.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Medha EduCore, a modular platform for managing students, staff, attendance, fees, exams, and related school operations (the "Service"). By creating an organization account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the institution you represent ("Institution").

2. Accounts

An Institution's owner creates the organization account and may invite additional staff (admin or staff role) with permissions scoped to the modules they are granted access to. The Institution is also responsible for issuing portal accounts to teachers, students, and parents/guardians who use the self-service portal.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials issued to you or by you, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Institution responsibilities

As the party entering and managing data about its students, staff, and guardians, the Institution is responsible for:

  • The accuracy of information it enters into the platform;
  • Obtaining any consent required by law before entering information about students or staff, including minors;
  • Complying with applicable education, data protection, and employment laws in its jurisdiction; and
  • Controlling which staff members have access to which modules.

4. Modules and subscriptions

The Service is offered as a set of independently activatable modules. An Institution only pays for the modules it activates. Some modules depend on others being active (for example, Attendance requires a Student or Teacher Management directory); the platform will indicate this and let you activate the required bundle together. Fees, billing cadence, and payment terms for activated modules are as agreed at the time of purchase [insert your pricing/billing terms or link to a pricing page].

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Enter information you are not authorized to collect or store;
  • Attempt to access data belonging to another Institution;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; or
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law.

6. Data ownership

As between the parties, the Institution owns the data it enters into the platform (student records, attendance, fees, exam results, and similar). Medha EduCore processes this data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. On request, we will help an Institution export or delete its data, subject to reasonable notice.

7. Intellectual property

Medha EduCore and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, and branding. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if these Terms are materially breached, if required by law, or to protect the security or integrity of the Service. An Institution may stop using the Service at any time; certain data-retention and deletion terms in our Privacy Policy continue to apply after termination.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medha EduCore will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from use of the Service [insert your liability cap and any carve-outs].

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify Institution owners/admins.
